U-values are used to measure how effective building products are in preventing heat being lost from inside a building. In a nutshell, the lower the U-value of a door, the more slowly heat can escape, Less energy used is better for the environment and good news for your pocket. Spitfire aluminium doors easily outperform composite doors. Depending on the model you choose, you can achieve U-values as low as 0.67 W/m2K (trust us, that’s pretty low!).

Our S-200 and S-500 doors offer a choice of hundreds of RAL colours, in gloss, matt, metallic, textured, dual coloured, multi-coloured or even incorporating a subtle sparkle effect, along with 20 wood effects and many textured finishes, including rust and concrete. Our S-400 comes in West Canadian solid red cedar for the natural look that will look equally beautiful in a contemporary property or a rustic barn conversion.

Depending on the model, Spitfire doors offer up to seven hi-tech opening options designed to make life easier. For example, remote control keyfob opening enables you to unlock your front door from up to 30 metres away which means no more fumbling in the dark on the doorstep for your keys. Alternatively, the optional built-in fingerprint sensor will open a Spitfire door in a remarkable 1.2 seconds. This new generation sensor incorporates Siemens technology and can even read data from a moist or greasy finger! The sensor can recognise up to 1,000 fingerprints and the dual relay units allow you to operate another nearby door, such as a garage door, too, all from the one sensor.

The Spitfire touch-screen key pad is easy to use too. You can tap in your desired code or swipe your code, like using an iPhone. Not only that but we have recently launched handles with a smart spyhole, fingerprint reader and backlit LED built in too.
