You can buy with confidence from a KBSA member that offers its ConsumerCare Plus Scheme as it provides protection in respect of deposit payments (to a maximum of 50 per cent of the total contract price) for a period of up to 162 days prior to the practical completion of the contract; as well as a workmanship warranty that provides protection for the contract holder in respect of workmanship defects. This covers a period of two years from completion of the kitchen or bathroom; while the Major Defects aspect of the cover applies on the expiry of the warranty period and runs for a further four years.
